I am a fused-glass artist who uses reclaimed window/picture-frame glass.  I collect glass scraps from Portland-area glass shops.  Occasionally I am given an old window, but often I am given pre-consumer scrap glass. This type of glass is chemically different from container/bottle glass, and is not included in municipal recycling programs.  It ends up in the landfills.

I transform this scrap glass into objects of function and beauty.  I make plates, bowls, candle holders and soap dishes.  My work is an effort to divert useful glass from the landfills, while providing people with unique glassware for everyday use and enjoyment.

This blog is a place for me to communicate with my community and for you to learn about, and keep up with, my process, progress and evolution.  Thank you for your interest & support!
