I have spent much of my adulthood working with youth—in both educational and social service settings.  I am now a full-time mother of two young children.  I have also been, and am, an artist at heart.  I love creating art in many forms—painting, drawing, poetry, gardening, photography, cooking, baking, crafting, dancing, drumming, and of course fusing glass!  I owe my parents much credit for inspiring me with their creativity and for wholeheartedly supporting mine!

I began my journey into glass fusing five+ years ago.  I took classes at   Aquila Glass School and Bullseye Glass in Portland to learn the basics of glass cutting, fusing and slumping.  I was most interested in recycling scrap glass and diverting it from the waste-stream, but was unable to find anyone local to learn from.  Through lots of online research and many hours of experimentation in my studio, I learned how to fuse window, or “float” glass scraps into functional glassware pieces such as plates and bowls.

Aside from glass fusing, I spend the majority of my time as a home-schooling, urban-homesteading mama. Born and raised in Oregon, I currently live and love in SE Portland with my family.  My glass studio is a one-woman operation, however it is made possible thanks to the awesome support of my partner, my family, friends, local glass shops, and community like you!

Thanks to Sierra Glass in Hillsboro who got me started with many tubs of glass scraps!  A big Thanks to my past supplier of four years, Precision Glass in Clackamas, and to my current supplier Alpine Glass Service in SE Portland!

Thank you for your interest & support,
